INTRODUCTION
The UITM-CGSLL Doctor of Technology Management (DTM) program is specifically designed to provide:
- An opportunity to understand and appreciate the combination of technology with management.
- A platform to produce capable managers who can effectively manage the dynamic changes that technology makes at all levels.
- An understanding of the needs of management in decision-making.
- An overall appreciation of the manner in which an organization’s strategic business plan drives its technology strategy and infrastructure.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND
This program is geared towards graduates from technical programs such as engineering and computer science who wish to master managerial skills that are relevant to their background. This programme also appeals to non-technical managers and executives who are increasingly required to manage technology and technical personnel as part of their managerial responsibilities. Graduates seeking senior management careers in high technology or technology intensive businesses are also encouraged to enroll in this program.
The DMT program shall be completed by course work and dissertation. Participants are required to complete the following stages:

Coursework Stage
Part 1
DBA601 Research Methodology and Design I – 12 weeks
DBA602 Research Methodology and Design II – 12 weeks
Candidates have up to 12 weeks from the start of each course to submit their assignment for each course.
Part 2
Students are also required to attend the following workshops:
DMT603 Organization Behaviour and Leadership in Technology Management
DMT604 Technology Management
DMT605 Technology, Culture and People – A Global Perspective
DMT606 Financial Management in Technology Management
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
A Master Degree from an internationally recognized academic institution with at least 5 years of working experience at managerial level
or
A Technology Related Bachelor Degree from an internationally recognized academic institution with at least 8 years of working experience at managerial level
or
A Technology Diploma from an internationally recognized academic institution with at least 15years of working experience at managerial level
APPLICATION, OFFER AND ACCEPTANCE
Applicants must provide the following when applying for admission:
- Fully completed application form
- Curriculum Vitae
- Application Support Letter
- Photocopy of all degree / diploma certificates and transcripts
- Photocopy of all supporting documents
- Photocopy of passport / identity card.
- Two passport size photos
An Offer of Acceptance Letter will be issued to each successful applicant within two weeks after an application is received with all required items.
A Confirmation of Admission Letter will be issued to each applicant within two weeks after he/she has completed the registration process and make the required program application and admission fee etc.
GRADUATION
In order to be awarded a degree for the program attended, students must:
achieved a 75% attendance for the lectures, workshops and forums organized, and also attended the required courses and completed the prescribed course assignments.
Completed the dissertation proposal, writing and defense.
